Modi Addressed BJP Workers and Announced Mahila and Youth as the New MY Formula in the Bihar Election

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed an enthusiastic gathering of BJP workers at the party’s national headquarters in New Delhi on Friday evening, celebrating the NDA’s sweeping victory in the Bihar Assembly elections. Calling the mandate a reflection of deep public trust, he said the people of Bihar had delivered a message so powerful that it had “completely transformed the political atmosphere” of the state.

PM Modi addressed BJP workers with gratitude and cultural resonance

Modi began his speech with a warm “Jai Chhathi Maiya,” invoking a greeting that resonates deeply across Bihar. He said the verdict had “garda uda diya,” a colloquial phrase meaning the voters had stirred up a political storm. His use of local expressions drew applause and cheers, establishing an instant emotional connection with party workers who had gathered to celebrate the win.

Modi addressed BJP workers: ‘MY’ formula becomes the new narrative

At the centre of the Prime Minister’s message was what he called the “MY formula.” This new interpretation of “MY,” he said, represented Mahila (women) and Youth, not the older Muslim–Yadav combination often associated with Bihar’s traditional caste-driven politics. Modi argued that this election proved Bihar’s political narrative had changed decisively, led by empowered women and aspirational young voters who placed development above all else.

He explained that earlier political strategies focused heavily on religious and caste arithmetic, but today’s voters were rejecting those patterns. “Women and youth from every caste and every religion stood with development,” he said. “They chose stability, progress and a future full of possibilities. This is the new MY formula of Bihar.”

Attack on Jungle Raj narrative

The Prime Minister used much of his speech to contrast the present with Bihar’s past. He took direct aim at the idea of “Jungle Raj,” a term used to describe the gun-driven lawlessness associated with the RJD’s era. Modi said the voters had shown clearly that those days would never return. “The old model of fear cannot survive in a Bihar that dreams of development,” he declared. He also vowed to end ‘Jungle Raj’ in West Bengal .

NDA’s win is a reward for consistent grassroots work

He stressed that the NDA’s victory was not sudden or accidental but the result of consistent work on the ground. Modi praised party workers for staying connected to local issues, understanding citizens’ concerns and building relationships based on trust. He said it was this commitment that won the hearts of the people. He said. “We work to keep people happy, and that is why the people of Bihar said again—‘Phir ek baar NDA Sarkar.’”

Youth voters also came into focus. Bihar has one of the highest youth populations in the country, and Modi said their dreams and drive had reshaped the state’s political direction. “Their aspirations destroyed the old, narrow political formulas,” Modi said.

Modi’s Bihar victory speech: Responding to Rahul Gandhi’s ‘vote theft’ campaign

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi made allegations of “vote theft,” which Modi firmly rejected. Prime minister said the people of Bihar had delivered a verdict that was clean, strong and democratic. He accused the party of turning into the ‘Muslim League–Maoist Congress,’ claiming it has abandoned its national outlook.

Modi also praised the Election Commission of India, saying its transparent and smooth conduct of the polls had strengthened public trust in India’s democratic institutions. “This election has further strengthened the public’s faith in the Election Commission,” he said.

National context—bypoll wins strengthen the message

The Prime Minister also acknowledged by-election victories in Nagrota (Jammu & Kashmir) and Nuapada (Odisha), where BJP candidates secured wins. He said these results showed the party’s growing acceptance across different parts of the country. According to him, the message sent by voters—whether in Bihar or in these bypoll constituencies—pointed to a broader endorsement of the NDA’s governance model.

As he moved towards the conclusion of his address, Modi shifted from celebration to commitment. He said the NDA must understand that such a massive mandate also comes with massive expectations. “We are not here to rule people. We are here to serve,” he said. “Our goal is to bring happiness and progress to every family.”

He urged workers to remember that victory is only the beginning of new responsibilities. Bihar’s people had voted for development, security and opportunity, and the NDA must work even harder than before to turn these expectations into reality. His final message was a reassurance that the alliance would continue working tirelessly to justify the trust placed in it.

Conclusion

The speech marked one of Modi’s most energetic post-election addresses of recent years, blending cultural symbolism, political messaging and governance-focused themes. By placing the Modi MY formula at the centre of the narrative, he signaled a shift towards a more inclusive—and more strategic—voter engagement model.
